How the ETH-Swap.io Exchange Works

ETH-Swap.io processes crypto-to-crypto exchanges as individual orders. You choose the sending and receiving assets, review the current conditions, send the deposit for that order and receive the exchanged cryptocurrency at the destination wallet you provide.

The service does not require users to maintain an internal trading balance for a standard exchange flow.

1. Choose the Sending and Receiving Assets

Select the cryptocurrency you want to send and the asset you want to receive. Ethereum can be used on either side of the order.

Examples include:

  • ETH → USDT;
  • BTC → ETH;
  • ETH → XMR;
  • USDT → ETH;
  • ETH → SOL.

Available routes depend on current service support.

2. Enter the Amount and Review the Current Quote

Enter the amount you want to exchange. ETH-Swap.io shows the estimated receive amount together with the current minimum and the main conditions for the selected route.

Reference price charts or converters elsewhere on the site are informational. The active order quote is the value that matters for the transaction.

General service parameters are:

  • minimum from about $7 equivalent;
  • estimated service fee 0.24%–1.08%;
  • typical processing 7–19 minutes after the required network confirmations.

The exact figures can vary by route and amount.

3. Select the Correct Blockchain Network

Some assets are available on more than one blockchain. For example, USDT and USDC can operate on multiple networks.

Before creating the order, check that:

  • the sending asset matches the selected network;
  • the receiving wallet supports the selected payout network;
  • the destination address belongs to the correct asset and blockchain.

A token name alone is not enough when the asset exists on several networks.

4. Add the Destination Wallet

Enter the wallet address where the exchanged cryptocurrency should be sent.

Before continuing:

  • compare the first and last characters of the pasted address;
  • verify the asset;
  • verify the blockchain network;
  • check whether the destination wallet requires any additional identifier for the selected asset.

ETH-Swap.io sends the payout to the address provided in the active order.

5. Create the Order and Use Its Deposit Details

After the order is created, use only the deposit details generated for that order.

Do not reuse a deposit address or other payment details from a previous order unless the active order explicitly shows the same details.

The order links the deposit to the selected assets, networks, amount and destination wallet.

6. Send the Deposit and Wait for Confirmations

Send the specified cryptocurrency through the network selected in the order.

Public blockchains require confirmations before a transfer can be treated as sufficiently settled for processing. Confirmation speed depends on the blockchain and its current conditions.

ETH-Swap.io does not control block production, validator or miner activity, network congestion or blockchain fees.

7. Exchange Processing

After the required confirmations and service checks, the order moves into exchange processing.

Typical service processing takes 7–19 minutes after the required network confirmations. This is a general range rather than a guaranteed completion time.

A transaction may take longer when:

  • network confirmations are delayed;
  • the route requires additional processing;
  • the transaction amount or wallet triggers a risk-based review;
  • additional information is needed to resolve an order issue.

8. Receive the Payout

When processing is complete, ETH-Swap.io sends the receiving asset directly to the destination wallet specified in the order.

The payout transaction itself then follows the rules and confirmation behavior of the destination blockchain.

Quote, Fee and Network Responsibilities

The exchange order combines several different elements:

ElementResponsibility
Exchange pair and routeETH-Swap.io shows available options
Order quoteETH-Swap.io displays the current order calculation
Destination addressUser provides and verifies it
Blockchain networkUser selects a supported network; blockchain processes transfers
Network confirmationsControlled by the relevant blockchain
Exchange processingETH-Swap.io processes the supported order
PayoutETH-Swap.io sends the receiving asset to the specified wallet

This separation is important because a blockchain confirmation delay is different from service processing time.

What to Check Before Sending Funds

Before making the deposit, verify:

  • sending asset;
  • receiving asset;
  • sending network;
  • receiving network;
  • amount;
  • minimum;
  • fee;
  • destination wallet;
  • order-specific deposit details.

If any item is incorrect, do not send funds until the order is corrected or recreated.

If Something Does Not Match the Order

Contact support if:

  • the deposit has been sent but the order status has not updated;
  • you sent an amount different from the order amount;
  • the transaction hash is confirmed but the order is not progressing;
  • the selected network or destination details may be incorrect;
  • a risk-based review requests additional information.

Include the order ID and transaction hash when available. Never send a seed phrase, private key or wallet password.

Account and AML Model

A permanent trading account is not required for standard eligible crypto-to-crypto orders.

Routine KYC is not required at the start of a standard eligible order, but a risk-based AML review may request additional information when transaction or wallet signals require further checks.

See the AML Policy and Privacy Policy.
